I know it's just a bit unconventional, but this page isn't going to start with "About Me" up top. You've read that page over and over. It says that I'm a mom of 2 kids and how much I love photography and design, but even if you manage to finish reading the whole thing, you probably still won't really know who I am.
You may get a sense of who I am just by looking at my work and by viewing this site. But to be honest, I'd rather talk about you.
Whether you think so or not, you ARE bright and shiny. You value the love of your family and your circle of friends more than material possessions, but you can still find the joy in something shiny and new, even if it's just a little thing.
After all the car seats and high chairs and swings and clothes have been purchased and outgrown and stored in the basement, the only things you still hold dear are all of the photographs you take with your ever-present camera. But there's a gap, right? You love snapshots (hey, me too! we agree on something already), but you probably don't want them hanging on your wall at 16x20.
You've been to a chain portrait studio and you purchased some images, but they're the same images that the person before you purchased and they're the same images the next person will purchase, too. You're unique and you want your photographer to recognize that your session should be as unique as you are. You want to know you can call your photographer to ask whether stripes and plaids should be worn together for an eclectic look (the answer is probably no, by the way). You want to work with someone who isn't busy helping other customers, answering phones, or looking for their next appointment. You want to work with someone who understands that babies have to eat and kids need time to warm up to the camera and you don't want to apologize if it takes a while to get the shots you really want!
Most of all, you acknowledge that photography is important to you and that it's a tangible representation of your most precious memories. You know this because every time you pull out a photo, you remember an experience, a word, an emotion... and you relive it, no matter how bittersweet it may be that your baby isn't a baby anymore or that you (just maybe) aren't quite as young as you used to be. You acknowledge that in the years to come, the images you purchase this year will be treasured unlike any other possession, not destined for a plastic bin or a Goodwill collection box.
You value photography and you crave the experience that only a custom photographer can provide.
You are my ideal client and I want to meet you right away! Let's have some coffee or iced tea or a humongous Diet Coke and talk about the images you want hanging on your walls for the next 30 years. Let's discuss the birth announcements you want to send to your family and friends and what kind of brag book we can make for grandma.
E-mail is your best bet to reach me. Give it a try now. :)
